Madrugada Tapial is a training center for Rammed Earth (Tapial in Spanish, Pise in French) house building skills. We are located in southeast Spain near the village of Caudete.
We offer technical apprenticeships for the full building cycle of a rammed earth home. Apprentices learn in the classroom as well as on site and will leave with the skills necessary to build a rammed earth home from site location and foundation to roof. This is a chance to go beyond book-learning, to ask questions and learn problem solving techniques in real building situations.
Week-long and weekend workshops are also offered.
